The one behind the lens

I'm the quiet one in the corner who's secretly scanning the room while observing everyones features and thinking how cool they'll look if I took a picture of them. I've had a camera in my hand since elementary school and have loved capturing moments ever since.
My feet are currently planted in my hometown of Grand Rapids, MI but I'm a southern girl at heart. HBCU grad with my Bachelors in Social from THEE Alabama State University!

behind the name
Artie Jones
I was snooping through my parents attic and found an old film camera in a box. My mom told me it belonged to her oldest brother, who passed away. I never got the chance to meet him but was happy to know that my passion for photography runs in the family. We went to see if the camera was any good and unfortunately it was too costly to repair. So I decided to use his camera strap instead and have been shooting with it to this day! Although I never had the chance to meet him, I'm glad to have something of his that will continue to be passed down for generations!
